Experience

In September 1976 after having finished her bi-lingual secretarial course, she obtained a position in the Banco do Brasil S.a. in London, UK.

Here she started to work in the Loans Department but with her ability to comunicate in Portuguese, English, French and Italian she was promoted to Cashier.

She left the employment of her own accord for a lot of reasons, mainly homesickness and low remuneration, and came to Italy where her father at that time was serving.

From April 1978 to April 2000 she was Personal Assistant, Personal Medical Secretary to Dr. Giorgio Fischer, Founder and President of the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Societa' Italiana di Chirurgia Estetica and Societa' Italiana di Liposcultura.

Her reponsibilities were numerous and varied, such as:
the translation of medical texts; preparation of abstracts and articles for publication in medical journals and editing the Journal of the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Planning and organizing International Congresses and Live Workshops, from the start to the finish; from the selection of the venue , drafting, designing and printing the programmes and brochures; corresponding with the international participants and organizing all aspects of their attendance. She interpreted the lectures and commented in the appropriaate language on the surgical operations carried out during the Live Workshops.

Last but not least she administered the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Società Italiana di Chirurgia Estetica and Società Italiana di Liposcultura as well as monitoring the legal aspects of medicine applicable to Cosmetic Surgery.

After 22 years exactly in April 2000 and until November 2000 she joined Testacoda Srl as Project Manager.

Testacoda produces mainly radio spots, "jingles" , sound-tracks and programmes, and for the television and commercializes documentaries.

From December 2000 to June 2001 collaborated with NYL Srl in the marketing of Natural Products and in the organization for the Franchising of Natural Pharmacies.

At the same time translated the web site into English.

In June 2001 she started a collaboration with IPC Srl and PTO Srl.

With IPC Srl she carried out world wide product research for promotional items, incentives and gadgets, as well as the organization of a Supplier's archive.

Whereas with PTO Srl she managed the Qcommerce catalogue on line for those family doctors associated to the FIMMG. This entailed a continuous research on new products and trends as well as sales.

While continuing to collaborate with IPC Srl and PTO Srl in February 2002 she became Personal Assistant, Personal Medical Secretary in their private practice to the gynaecologists Prof. Salvatore Mancuso and Prof. Alessandro Caruso.

In May 2004 still continuing to work for Prof. Salvatore Mancuso and
Prof. Alessandro Caruso joined IRIS-PCR-OG Onlus (Insieme per Realizzare Iniziative di Solidarietà).

The Association was founded by Prof. Salvatore Mancuso and Prof. Giovanni Scambia for the prevention, cure and research in the field of Gynaecological Oncology, both aware of the fact that, "to cure is not only therapy". Furthermore, the Association does not forget those necessities and problems that influence the "quality of life" of these patients, their children and those that are near them.

Therefore practical help and all forms of assistance is provided to the patients and their families, together with the promotion of research programmes and studies that furnish guide-lines for a correct psicotherapeutical approach to the problems connected to the pathologies.

May 2005 she went to work for Dr. Giorgio Fischer as Personal Medical Secretary.

March 2007 she became Prof. Salvatore Mancuso’s Personal Medical Secretary.
